  8. Seven Layer Salad

  10. 2 heads iceburg lettuce
  11. 1 c. celery, chopped
  12. 1 lb. bacon, fried and crubled
  13. 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  14. 4 green onions, chopped
  15. 2 c. mayonnaise mixed with 2 T. sugar
  16. 2 c. grated cheddar
  17.  
  18. In a large bowl, layer the above ingredients in the order indicated, making
  19. sure the mayonnaise makes a rather 'air-tight' layer. Keep cool until
  20. serving time. Also known as 24-hour salad, the implication being you could
  21. make it the day before, but it really isn't as good.
